Ellen DeGeneres will replace Paula Abdul as judge of American Idol, Fox announced on Wednesday.
DeGeneres, a talk show host and comedian, will join Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi for the ninth season of one of the most popular tV show in the United States.
DeGeneres told in her show that she was dying to tell everyone about this news.
DeGeneres will not quit from the Ellen show.
