Elton John confirms Lady Gaga is godmother of his son

In an interview, Barbara Walters went deep into Elton John's and David Furnish's life as the couple opened up about their son Zachary.

During the interview Elton and Furnish confirmed that pop star Lady Gaga is Zachary's godmother.

Good Morning America had teased the interview on Friday.

When asked if Lady Gaga was the godmother, John replied Yes, yes she is. When you get to the real person under there, there's a real simple person under there who loves her parents.

The couple revealed that they thought Mother Monster would be the perfect person to help guide their son.

Zachary's going to inherit an incredible musical legacy from his father one day, and she will be a good person to guide him through the ins and outs of the music business, because she sure knows everything about the business now.

Elton John hosted Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago and alluded to the fact Lady Gaga was the godmother. It was not officially confirmed until the interview aired.
