Emma Stone did not make it through the 2012 Met Gala at the Costume Institute on Monday unscathed. The adorable redhead (now strawberry blonde) suffered a wardrobe malfunction after the event. She got a huge hole in her red, flowered Lanvin dress!

The Crazy, Stupid, Love actress had a large hole in the back of her cherry red, custom-made Lanvin dress, right at the seam where the dress zipped.

Stone was photographed, with her jaw dropped, showing her wardrobe malfunction to Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz in the back of a limo after the Met Gala. The 23-year-old looked shocked that her flowered dress, which was adorned with about 3000 plastic flowers, had ripped.

Instead of throwing a fit or shedding crocodile tears, Emma Stone simply threw on a maroon leather jacket to cover up the wardrobe malfunction. Crisis averted.

However, the rip might not have been her only problem that night.

Earlier in the evening the young actress appeared to be attempting to fix something on the front of her dress with help from Rashida Jones and Leslie Mann, according to OMG! Yahoo!

On the red carpet, New York Times reporter Cathy Horyn asked Ms. Stone if she could touch the dress she described as looking like the rippled surface of a flowed bathing cap.

It's rainproof, Elbaz said. Stone added that Elbaz thinks about the blend of fashion and art when he is creating the stunning Lanvin pieces.

A little wardrobe malfunction is not enough to deter this young starlet, whose popularity is on a swift upward climb these days.

Emma Stone was announced as one of the presenters for the upcoming MTV Movie Awards, according to an MTV News report on Wednesday. Stone will join her boyfriend, Andrew Garfield, along with Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg on stage at the annual awards show to hand out the Golden Popcorn statues.

Stone is nominated in two categories herself, including Best Female Performance for Crazy, Stupid, Love and Best Kiss with Ryan Gosling in Crazy, Stupid, Love.

The 20-something actress will return to the silver screen with Gosling for the film The Gangster Squad. The movie is about an LAPD officer (Gosling) who tries to keep East Coast Mafia types out of Los Angeles and falls for a gangster's girlfriend (Stone) in 1949.
