Barbadian singer Rihanna has been named the sexiest woman alive by Esquire for the year 2011.

Last week, Man Down singer just beat Madonna and became the fastest solo artist to chart 20 songs inside its Hot 100 top 10.

Esquire selected Rihanna for her pursuit of carnal pop world domination which, according to Rihanna herself, is more subconscious than deliberate, reports Detroit Free Press.

At the end of a concert, I don't feel like I've been this sexy thing, she said. Really, I don't even think about it.

The 23-year-old singer sounded matured when she spoke about ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, who had physically assaulted her. She said, It's incredible to see how he pulled out of it the way he did. Even when the world seemed like it was against him, you know, she told Esquire.

I really like the music he's putting out, she added. I'm a fan of his stuff. I've always been a fan. Obviously, I had some resentment toward him for a while, for obvious reasons. But I've put that behind me.

Also, Rihanna revealed the cover artwork for her Talk That Talk album on her Facebook page. The album that includes her hit single We Found Love featuring Calvin Harris will be released on November 21. The club-ready track, produced by the renowned DJ, has already reached No. 1 in the United Kingdom, giving the international icon her record 6th No.1 UK single, reports Dessence.com.
