The euro fell to a record low versus the Swiss franc on Friday, a day after the Swiss National Bank stepped back from its interventionist stance to support the franc.

The euro EURCHF= fell to 1.3730 francs, narrowly surpassing the previous low hit on June 9th of 1.3731.

The SNB's quarterly policy announcement on Thursday signalled a stepping back from specific currency intervention due to decreasing deflationary risks.
