The atmosphere on the set of “Eyewitness” apparently isn't as dark as the show's subject matter.

In her latest Instagram post, series actress Julianne Nicholson — who plays Helen on the USA Network series — revealed how she and her co-stars spend their time in between takes while shooting scenes in her character’s residence.

“Between takes at Helen and Gabe’s (Gil Bellows), we would all hang out in an upstairs bedroom and talk about life and laugh and cry or take music requests and sing and dance. All welcome,” Nicholson wrote, alongside a photo of Bellows and James Paxton, who plays Lukas on the crime thriller.

The main cast members of “Eyewitness” — which also include Tyler Young (Philip) and Warren Christie (Ryan Kane), among others — became very close to one another during the entire filming period of the series in Ontario, Canada.

“We stayed in this resort [The Rocky Crest] there altogether and it wasn’t open for the season so it was basically like ‘Shining’ and us, and it was amazing to be just us there,” Nicholson said during the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Conversations with the cast of “Eyewitness” event earlier this month. “We would meet every day for walks, and every day after work, we would sit at this table and watch the NBA playoffs. It was amazing.”

In addition to strolling around the area and watching NBA playoffs, the actors also spent some time bonding by the lake.

“I I think it was may be the second or third day of filming or right around there, it was still freezing out, and as a symbol of solidarity, we all got up one morning very early before going to work and we stood on the dock together and we held hands and we jumped in the lake,” Bellows shared. “As the season progressed, [we] just go out and jump in the lake because it was amazing and beautiful, but that day it was cold.”

Tonight’s Season 1, episode 7 of “Eyewitness” airs at 10 p.m. EST on USA Network. Check out the synopsis for the episode, titled “They Lied,” below:
