Assassin's Creed's Ezio Auditore is sneaking his way into the upcoming fighting game Soul Calibur V.

Soul Calibur is a popular 3D fighting game where players battle for the power weapon the Soul Edge. The game is characterized by its focus on weapons and the ability for characters to move in 3 dimensions, rather than left-to-right in most fighting games.

Ezio will be a guest character from the action-stealth franchise Assassin's Creed. In it gamers play as different assassins through the medieval and renaissance periods taking out assigned targets through the use of gadgets and guile. Since the two games are completely different genres, Ezio will likely handle differently but will use some recognizable assassin's tools such as a Roman Longsword, the Stiletto, a Crossbow, a hidden gun and this trademark hidden blade.

The entrance of 'Assassin's Creed' into the Soul Calibur universe is an historic meeting of two of the most revered and influential game series, Olivier Comte, Senior Vice President at NAMCO BANDAI Partners, said. Ezio has captured the imaginations of millions of fans around the world, and it will be very exciting to see how his lightning fast moves stand up to the mighty swordplay of Soul Calibur's finest.

Guest characters are nothing new in the Soul Calibur universe. Comic character, Spawn, Nintendo's Link, Darth Vader and Yoda for the Star Wars' universe have all been features in past games. Though players won't be seeing those characters on the new game. Also if gamers pre-order the game they will receive Dampierre from Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny as a bonus. Soul Calibur V will release Feb. 3 2012. If that isn't soon enough to get some assassin action, Assassin's Creed: Revelation will come out Nov. 15 of this year.
