Facebook Inc. (NYSE:FB) is set to unveil a new offering on Thursday that will allow users to see some of the data it keeps on them that advertisers use to target ads, according to a report.

The New York Times on Thursday said users will also be allowed to change or delete Facebook’s record of their likes and interests.

Brian Boland, Facebook's vice president in charge of ad product marketing, told the Times, “The thing that we have heard from people is that they want more targeted advertising. The goal is to make it clear to people why they saw the ad.”
