American emo/pop punk band Fall Out Boy from Wilmette, Ill., is reuniting after announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2009, Property of Zack reported.

Members Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman, and Andy Hurley are responsible for hits such as “This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race,” “Sugar, We’re Going Down,” and “Dance, Dance.”

The band members have worked on solo projects in recent years, but in 2012 rumors began to swirl that FOB was working on a new record.

“This has been said so many times that I’m not sure if it matters … ”: But it definitely does matter because “several trusted sources” told Property of Zack that Fall Out Boy’s three-year hiatus has come to an end.

Responses on Twitter came fast and furious.

“I will accept my apology anytime everyone is ready. Also, told you so. REUNITED: Fall Out Boy,” @keltiecolleen tweetd.

“If these rumours about fall out boy aren't real then i'll cry,” @_Burn0ut wrote.

More optimistically, @alexgasfart_ contended that that life is now good after hearing the news that Fall Out Boy was reuniting: “EVERYTHING IN HUMANITY IS OKAY AGAIN BECAUSE FALL OUT BOY ARE BACK TOGETHER EVERYTHING IN LIFE IS OKAY AGAIN.”

Meanwhile, @OnlyMem0ries took to Twitter to thank the New Year for bringing one of her favorite bands back together: “FALL OUT BOY ARE REUNITING? 2013 I LOVE YOU.”

Some people shared pretty hilarious photos to convey their enthusiasm for the band getting back together.

For example, @Zac_Law wrote “Fall Out Boy are reuniting?” and then shared:

Fall Out Boy has not officially released a statement saying its members have decided to reunite, but, hopefully, their fans won’t be let down. Again.
