What better way to get through hump day than the return of two of TV's biggest police dramas and the premiere of a new medical drama? Fall premieres continue on Wednesday, Sept. 30, with the return of some of your favorite shows as well as a new one.

CBS will have plenty of fast-paced drama to keep you entertained Wednesday night. Viewers will, once again, get to go inside the brain of a criminal when "Criminal Minds" returns at 9 p.m. EDT. The Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) will track a new killer known for leaving a mark on the face of each of their victims. The team will also have a new addition in Dr. Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler). "Code Black," a new hospital drama similar to "ER," debuts at 10 p.m. EDT. The show will focus on Dr. Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) as she leads a group of first-year residents in a Los Angeles County hospital, which is one of the nations busiest emergency rooms. "Narcos" star Luis Guzmán and Raza Jaffrey will also star on the show alongside Harden.

Chicago's finest return at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC on "Chicago P.D." Voight (Jason Beghe) and Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) will continue to see the downward spiral of Lindsay (Sophia Bush) following the death of Nadia (Stella Maeve) on the crossover episode with "Law & Order: SVU" last season. Executive Producer Matt Olmstead told Entertainment Weekly Lindsay will still be turning to drugs and alcohol to deal with the pain when the season picks up.

"She was grooming Nadia to one day be a cop, much like Voight groomed Lindsay. Lindsay was a teenager and ironically partying with her mom many years ago, and so she was wanting to return the favor to Nadia and Nadia didn’t make it, and that really ultimately sent Lindsay off the rails," Olmstead dished. "So, she’s checked out, and that becomes the journey for her in the first few episodes."

Aside from the Lindsay drama, Voight and the rest of the remaining officers will look to take down a drug lord. Watch a sneak peek of "Chicago P.D." below:
