Carrie Coon made history as the first-ever actor to win a single category at the Television Critics Association (TCA) Awards for two separate programs in the same year.

According to TVLine, Coon won this year’s Outstanding Individual Achievement in Drama for her performances in both FX’s “Fargo” and HBO’s “The Leftovers.” The 36-year-old actress played Gloria Burgle in “Fargo” and portrayed Nora Durst in “The Leftovers.”

Variety pointed out that TCA does not separate male and female actors into two categories. It also doesn’t have distinct categories for drama performers in ongoing series, limited series and TV movie. Thus, Coon beat out big names like Nicole Kidman (“Big Little Lies”), Jessica Lange (“Feud”), Susan Sarandon (“Feud”) and Sterling K. Brown (“This Is Us”).

This isn’t the first time Coon’s work on “Fargo” has been recognized. Last month, Coon received an Emmy nod for her performance in the Noah Hawley-created series.

In an interview with TV Insider, Coon revealed that she found out about her Emmy nomination while preparing for the day. “I was getting ready. It was streaming on our Apple TV — we’re in New York for work this week — and [husband Tracy Letts] had it on as I got out of the shower and there I was!” she recalled. “We were jumping up and down. He’s the sweetest.”

Aside from Coon’s Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie nomination, “Fargo” also scored five other Emmy nods. While Coon is “ecstatic” for all the recognition “Fargo” got, the actress admitted that she’s “heartbroken” that the only Emmy nod “The Leftovers” received was Ann Dowd’s Guest Actress nomination.

“I’m heartbroken this morning for my friends on ‘The Leftovers’ because I was really hoping to see some love for Justin [Theroux], who I think has been brave and deep for three years,” Coon told ET Canada the day the Emmy nominees were announced. “[And] for Damon [Lindelof] whose storytelling… I’ve never seen anything quite like ‘The Leftovers’ on TV. I’m so proud of it and I think history will be very kind to the show but my heart breaks a little bit for my fellow ‘Leftovers’ this morning.”
