A touching video of a father surprising his son while dressed as Captain America went viral, but YouTube viewers aren't the only ones moved by the reunion. Disney stumbled upon the viral home footage and invited the two to walk the red carpet on Saturday in New York City for a recent premier of The Avengers.

Real-life Captain Kevin Camarata attempted to make it home from Afghanistan in time for his son's birthday, which he missed by a few days. But the father still managed to surprise his two sons by dressing up as the Marvel superhero and reuniting with his family.

In the video, Camarata fooled his young son, who was also dressed in a matching Captain America get-up. The footage was posted on welcomehomeblog.com, after which hundreds of thousands of views ensued.

This was incredible, he said, according to Yahoo, as he strolled down the red carpet. When we put the video on the Internet nothing like this was even considered.

The event stressed the theme of heroes in everyday life, inviting various members of the NYPD, NYFD and other military service men and women to the premiere. Check out the heart-warming video below.
