A Florida father said he beat 18-year-old Raymond Frolander unconscious after finding him sexually abusing his 11-year-old son.
Associated Press reported the father called 911 on Friday after he walked in on the alleged sexual abuse. Police found a bloody Frolander "laying motionless on the living room floor with several knots on his face and bleeding from his mouth."
“I just walked in and found a grown man molesting (my son), and I got him in a bloody puddle for you right now, officer,” the 35-year-old father, whose name was not released by police, told 911 dispatchers.
The dispatcher asked the man: “You said the person who assaulted, you beat him up?”
“Oh yeah, send him an ambulance. He’s going to need one,” the father replied, according to the New York Daily News.
According to KTLA, Frolander was a neighbor who has been sexually abusing the child since he was 8 years old. The affidavit said Forlander performed oral sex on the boy and instructed him to fondle him, CNN reported.
Raymond Frolander was charged with sexual battery on a child under 12 and is being held without bail. According to the arrest report, Frolander had admitted the abuse, saying, “I’m guilty.”
The father said no weapons were involved in the beating but “my foot and my fist.” Police spokesman Jimmie Flynt said the father was not charged for beating Frolander.
“Dad was acting like a dad. I don’t see anything we should charge the dad with,” Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood said in a statement. “You have an 18-year-old who has clearly picked his target, groomed his target and had sex with the victim multiple times.”
