Federal agents have arrested two people in a case related to insider trading of Walt Disney Co shares, CNBC reported on Wednesday.

One of the suspects was described as a Disney employee with advance knowledge of the company's earnings.

The second was a friend of the employee and both allegedly sought to sell the insider information.

Representatives from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which made the arrests, and Disney were not immediately available for comment.
