We’ve got good news for “Fear the Walking Dead” fans hungry for more zombie apocalypse drama. The new AMC spinoff show is brand new on Sunday, Sept. 13 with episode 3.

The “companion series” to “The Walking Dead” took a break last week for Labor Day Weekend. Instead of airing a new episode, the network played episodes 1 and 2 back-to-back for viewers to catch up on the new show. Now after a week off, fans can dive right back into the lives of Travis (Cliff Curtis), Madison (Kim Dickens) and their families.

“Fear the Walking Dead” will air at its normal time slot at 9 p.m. EDT on AMC on Sunday. The show is even treating fans to an extra six minutes of drama, with the hour-long TV series ending at 10:06 p.m. EDT. For those that chose barbequing over the marathon last weekend, the first two episodes will air ahead of episode, starting at 6:30 p.m. EDT.

Episode 3, titled “The Dog,” will pick up following the events that occurred in episode 2. While Madison is safe at home with her two children, Nick (Frank Dillane) and Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), her boyfriend Travis is stuck in the middle of a riot with his ex-wife, Liza (Elizabeth Rodriguez) and son, Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie). Travis, Liza and Chris were able to find shelter with the Salazar family at their barbershop, but the group won’t be able to stay safe within the building for long. The promo video for episode 3 teases that a fire will force them out into the dangerous streets of Los Angeles.

Based on sneak peek videos of “The Dog,” it appears as if Travis will be able to get everyone back to his pickup truck in order to escape the riot in the area. But they’ll soon find out that the whole city is engulfed in chaos. The group is horrified as they drive past the hospital. Not only does the building look as if it’s on fire, but the police are shooting at people exiting it.

Meanwhile at Madison’s home, Alicia still has no idea about the shocking things that her mom and brother have seen in the past few hours. Madison doesn’t want to tell her daughter, but a dangerous neighbor might force her to reveal everything she knows.
