The wait for more “Fear the Walking Dead” is almost over. The AMC series went on hiatus in May after airing its midseason finale. New episodes are set to begin again in August, but fans can get their first taste of the drama to come when the show’s cast, executive producers and showrunner hit San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 22.

The popular convention posted their schedule for July 22 on Friday, revealing that the “Fear the Walking Dead” panel will take place at noon in Hall H. Cast members Cliff Curtis (Travis), Kim Dickens (Madison), Frank Dillane (Nick), Alycia Debnam-Carey (Alicia), Lorenzo James Henrie (Chris), Mercedes Mason (Ofelia) and Colman Domingo (Strand) will be joined by showrunner Dave Erickson, along with executive producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert and Greg Nicotero, who is also the special effects makeup supervisor. “Talking Dead” host Chris Hardwick will lead the panel, which will “discuss where the series left off in May’s finale and what to look forward to when it picks up in August.”

Those in attendance will be able to participate in a Q&A session with the panelists, as well as catch an “official sneak preview of the second half of Season 2.”

For those that don’t remember, the midseason finale left off with a whole lot of chaos. Strand was going to kill himself to be with his lover, Thomas (Dougray Scott), but decided against it last minute. He put a bullet through Thomas’ head, an act that devastated Celia (Marlene Forte). Strand’s decision, along with Daniel’s (Rubén Blades) mental breakdown, set off a series of events that lead to the downfall of the Mexico safe haven.

Meanwhile, Travis went after Chris, who ran away after getting caught standing over Madison and Alicia’s bed with a knife. Madison wanted to wait for her boyfriend to return to the compound before leaving the grounds, but Travis never returned.

The midseason finale ended with Madison locking Celia in a cage with all her zombified-loved ones. Daniel later burned the place down, forcing Madison, Alicia and Ofelia to flee with Strand. However, Nick refused to go with them. They drove away as Nick walked among the dead.

You can catch the cast at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 22 at 12p.m. PDT. “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 2 returns to AMC on Sunday, Aug. 21 at 9 p.m. EDT.
