The hurdle for further quantitative easing in the United States is very high, a top Federal Reserve official reiterated on Thursday.

I think the hurdle is very high, Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank President Charles Plosser said when asked if another round was likely during an interview on BBC radio.

Plosser is a well-known inflation hawk who has a vote on policy this year.
