Square Enix and Sony Computer Entertainment Asia has announced a special “Final Fantasy XV” PlayStation 4 called the Luna Edition during this year’s Tokyo Game Show. The console will sell for 39,980 Yen (around US$389) and it will be available in Japan starting on Nov. 29, the same day “Final Fantasy XV” launches.

The Luna Edition console is the new slim version of the PlayStation 4 that was announced last week by Sony. The main difference here is that the Luna Edition comes with a distinct illustration of “Final Fantasy XV” on the front of the console. The illustration is a decal of a large moon.

The moon decal on the PlayStation 4 Luna Edition is inspired by “Final Fantasy XV” main character Noctis looking up at the moon during his travels in the game, according to Hajime Tabata (via GameSpot), the director of the game. The console itself features a 1TB hard drive while the included DualShock 4 controller features the “XV” logo on its right-hand grip.

The PlayStation 4 Luna Edition also comes with a copy of “Final Fantasy XV” as well as a digital copy of “Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV,” the animated movie that also serves as a prequel to the game. The copy of the game will come with an exclusive steelbook. The bundle also comes with a number of DLCs for the game including an extra outfit, a weapon and a character skin.

When the Luna Edition PS4 bundle was first announced, there was no confirmation of it being released in the West. Fortunately, it will be available in North America on Nov. 29, Sony announced a few hours ago on its PlayStation blog. The bundle will be exclusively available from GameStop and will sell for $449, while in Canada, it will be available from EB Games for $549 CAD.
