Divac grew into a fine NBA center over the years, thanks mainly to his grooming with the Lakers. In his first six seasons, the giant Serbian improved his scoring average each season and contributed 16 points and more than 10 rebounds per game in the 1994-1995 season -- not bad numbers for a guy who many thought wouldn’t be able to make it in the NBA. A pioneer for foreign players' entry in the NBA, Divac was later traded to the Charlotte Hornets for the draft rights to a player you may have heard of: Kobe Bryant.
