The Dominators are going to pit Barry (Grant Gustin), Oliver (Stephen Amell), Kara (Melissa Benoist) and the rest of Earth-1 heroes against one another in the second night of the crossover event between “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl” and “Legends of Tomorrow.”

In the trailer for Season 3, episode 8 of “The Flash,” the heroes find out that the Dominators have mind-controlling abilities, which they use to turn some of their super-powered Earth rivals into their own evil puppets. At some point in the preview clip, the Dominators have Kara, Thea (Willa Holland), Sara (Caity Lotz), Mick (Dominic Purcell), Jax (Franz Drameh) and Ray (Brandon Routh) under mind control, as Barry and Oliver try to remind them to fight off the brainwashing snafu.

While it’s unclear how the heroes are going to stop the Dominators from using their mind-control powers against them, it isn’t the only thing about the villainous alien race that the heroes should be worried about. As seen in the trailer for tonight’s episode, the Dominators — who are “hell-bent on killing metahumans” on Earth — are also equipped with technologically advanced weapons which would definitely make them more difficult to defeat.

As expected, the heroes won’t figure out a concrete plan to take down the Dominators until the fourth and final night of the crossover event. According to synopsis for Season 2, episode 7 of “Legends of Tomorrow,” Stein (Victor Garber) figures out, with the help of others, how the team can terminate the Dominators. The experienced physicist, however, is distracted by the time aberration he created in 1987.

The crossover event, titled “Invasion!,” kicked off at the tail end of last night’s episode of “Supergirl.” It continues in this week’s episode of “The Flash” (Tuesday, Nov. 29), “Arrow” (Wednesday, Nov. 30) and “Legends of Tomorrow” (Thursday, Dec. 1), which all air at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
