Gorilla Grodd is returning to “The Flash” in a big way.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Aaron Helbing said that the upcoming Gorilla Grodd two-parter — episodes 13 and 14 of Season 3 — features a number of incredible sequences that have never been seen on TV before. “There are some sequences in the two episodes that are unbelievable,” Helbing teased. “They’re epic and unbelievable in scale and scope. I’ve never seen anything like it on television.”

“The team will go to Gorilla City [in the two-parter],” Helbing added. “We’ll see where Grodd was sent. We’ll see his standing amongst the other gorillas.”

Helbing’s fellow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed at the Television Critics Association’s press tour earlier this month that “one of the [episodes of the two-parter] will take place in [Earth-2] Gorilla City and one of them will take place on Earth-1.”

Kreisberg also announced at the same event that DC Comics character Solovar will be introduced in the two-parter. Created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino in 1959, Solovar is a longstanding ally of The Flash in the comics. He is the leader of Gorilla City and frequently battles with Grodd, who wants to overthrow him and rule the city himself.

Solovar will be voiced by Keith David, who is best known for his co-starring role as Childs alongside Kurt Russell in the 1982 sci-fi horror film “The Thing.” His other acting credits include “Crash,” “There’s Something About Mary,” “Barbershop” and “Men at Work.”

Grodd, meanwhile, will be voiced by returning actor David Sobolov, who revealed Grodd’s return to the show on Twitter last month.

The air dates for the two-parter are yet to be announced.

An all-new episode of “The Flash” airs on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Check out the synopsis and trailer for Season 3, episode 11, titled “Dead or Alive,” below:

“H.R.’s (Tom Cavanagh) past catches up with him when a bounty hunter with vibe powers named Gypsy (Jessica Camacho) arrives in Central City to bring him back to Earth-19 to stand trial for his crime. It turns out inter-dimensional travel is illegal on their Earth. H.R. surrenders but when Barry and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) find out that H.R.’s only hope would be to challenge Gypsy to a fight to the death, they intercede and Cisco offers to fight Gypsy instead.”
