Memphis, Tennessee is expected to see record flooding as the Mississippi river is expected to crest 14 feet above flood stage.

The river is at its highest level seen since 1937, when it crested in Memphis at 14.7 feet above flood stage. That flood seventy four years ago reportedly killed 500 people and inundated 20-million acres of land.
