Floyd Mayweather Sr. pleaded not guilty to battery charges Thursday, related to an alleged incident last September with a woman outside of the T-Mobile Arena, according to reports.

Mayweather Sr., his girlfriend, the accuser and her husband attended the Gennady Golovkin-Canelo Alvarez bout at the T-Mobile area the night the alleged altercation occurred, a police report obtained by KNTV says. Mayweather Sr. turned himself in Tuesday after authorities issued a warrant for his arrest Jan. 16. He posted a bail of $1,000.

Through his attorney, Mayweather entered a not guilty plea to the charges during an arraignment hearing, according to records from the Las Vegas Justice Court. His representative told TMZ he’s innocent and "never laid a hand on the victim."

An argument between the accuser and the former professional boxer occurred in a parking lot outside the arena after the boxing match. Mayweather allegedly dragged the victim out of her vehicle and attacked her before he fled. The woman reportedly suffered contusions on her back, thigh and left arm.

Las Vegas Metro Police responded to a call from a local hospital Sept. 17 where a woman claimed Mayweather Sr. had attacked her outside of a boxing venue, Metro Officer Adan Ocampo-Gomez told the Las Vegas Sun.

The battery case was filed earlier this month, according to a police report. Mayweather Sr.’s next court date is scheduled to take place March 27.

Mayweather Sr. was a professional boxer who has since worked as a trainer. He is the father of boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.
