LaTavia Roberson has broken her social media silence after news she had been hospitalized and was fighting for her life due to serious pregnancy complications was released this month. The singer, who was one of the original four members of Destiny’s Child with Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland, gave fans an update on her condition and thanked them for their kind words.

In Roberson’s Instagram post she said reports claiming she was “fighting for her life” weren’t completely accurate, but admitted that she was in “critical medical condition.” She wrote: “From the bottom of my heart I want to thank each and every one of you for your prayers and positive energy, I have felt every heartfelt wish more than you know.”

The 34-year-old singer didn’t specifically address how her baby was doing, writing that there’s a lot more to the story. You can read her full post below.

According to the Shade Room, Roberson was rushed to the hospital over the Fourth of July holiday. The outlet didn’t report what caused her hospitalization but cited a source who said the singer was not doing well and fighting for her life. Shortly before the scary incident, Roberson had posted an Instagram photo of her rocking a red bikini with her baby bump on display as she lounged by a pool. “Happy Saturdays lovers,” she captioned the photo.

Roberson announced on the photo sharing site last month that she was pregnant with her second child but didn’t reveal whether she’s expecting a boy or girl. She already has one child, a 3-year-old daughter named Lyric Roberson, with music producer Don Vito.
