It's been a long while since we have heard anything from the Spice Girls, but there is some good news for fans of Geri Halliwell. The British singer is recording the last few songs for her coming album.

Halliwell, known as Ginger Spice in the 1990s, took to Instagram and shared black and white pictures of herself. "I'm in studio. Recording last two songs. Feels pretty good," wrote the singer, along with her pictures. “Listening back. In studio,” she captioned the other picture.

Halliwell, 42, looked good in the pictures wearing a black shirt and jeans. The former Spice Girl did not lose her connection with music even after she quit the band. She went ahead and released albums such as “Scream If You Wanna Go Faster” and “Look At Me.” She also married Formula One boss Christian Horner in May this year.

Her 2001 single “It's Raining Men” from the album “Scream If You Wanna Go Faster” was featured in the movie “Bridget Jones Diary.” Her last album “Passion” was released in 2005 by Innocent Records. She also finished a fourth album in 2012 after “Passion” but decided not to release it. Halliwell is not the only Spice Girl to continue her musical journey since the band broke up in 2008. The group consisted of Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, and Victoria Beckham.

Sporty Spice Chisholm also has announced intentions to release her seventh solo album. “I’ve just been writing, hooking up with my old songwriting mates and getting some tunes together,” she told the Sun newspaper. “A lot has gone on in the last few years so that’s been my inspiration, life and all the things that get chucked at us,” she said, adding that the album is shaping up nicely.
