The Tanner’s extended family is about to get a whole lot bigger when “Fuller House” returns to Netflix for Season 2. It was reported in June that Uncle Joey (Dave Coulier) would be introducing his wife and children to the show, but it was not clear who had been selected for the parts.

With several months until the show returns, Coulier may have revealed a major clue about his family — and other “Fuller House” newcomers — on Instagram. On Aug. 11, the actor posted a photo of the cast sharing hugs on set after wrapping an episode, which Coulier directed. The photo shows D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin), Joey, and several never-before-scene actors and actresses. One new star appears to bear a striking resemblance to D.J., leading fans to believe she may be a prospective love interest for Steve (Scott Weinger) — her high school sweetheart. It has also been rumored that Joey’s wife and children, who have yet to be featured on “Fuller House,” are in the photo.

While several new stars have been added to the show, the main cast members of “Fuller House” have given up on the Olsen twins making a cameo. Entertainment Tonight reported on Monday that Sweetin mentioned Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played Michelle Tanner on “Full House” for several years, in an interview. She told the publication that the chances of the twins appearing on “Fuller House” were slim to none, adding that she and her co-stars had essentially “given up” asking. Sweetin added, however, that there will be a number of amazing cameos from other actors — some of whom have been trying to get on the show since the original was airing new episodes — in Season 2.

Coulier’s photo supports recent claims that Netflix has decided to include a Christmas-themed episode on the show. The cast appear to be wearing matching holiday-themed pajamas. Speculation started on Aug. 10, when Laurie Laughlin, who plays Aunt Becky, posted a photo of her and her co-stars wearing what appeared to be holiday sweaters. She provided no context in her caption. The photo came not long after it was revealed that Season 2 of “Fuller House” would feature a Thanksgiving episode, during which friends and family gather at D.J.’s home for a festive feast. In June, TV Line reported that Uncle Joey’s wife and children will be shown for the first time on the show during the episode, which will be the sixth in Season 2.
