Warning: Full “Game of Thrones” spoilers ahead.

The new “Game of Thrones” trailer shows the aftermath of war and plenty of conflict and tough times for some fan favorite characters. Tyrion Lannister, played by Peter Dinklage, appears to have gotten himself into some trouble that will be hard to talk his way out of. Daenerys Targaryen is evolving as a queen, and her rule over newly conquered cities will be challenged throughout the season.

Despite dealing a lethal blow to the opposition, the Lannisters are far from winning the war, and King’s Landing is slowly turning against its boy king, Joffrey Baratheon. The “GoT” Season Four trailer also includes a quick glimpse of Joffrey’s wedding with Margaery Tyrell. For those who have read Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” series, "The Purple Wedding," will be a highlight of the season.

Jamie Lannister has also returned to King’s Landing, and the reunion with his family, especially with Cersei Lannister, will also be a major story line in Season Four. Jamie has changed considerably since leaving King’s Landing, which could lead to tension between the “King Slayer” and his father, Tywin Lannister.

The “GoT” trailer also focuses on Stannis Baratheon, the Wall, the Greyjoys, Bran Stark and Arya Stark, indicating major developments for these characters and story lines. Stannis stood on the sidelines for most of the third season, but the fourth season will see him moving north. The Wildlings and White Walkers are advancing on the Wall and Jon Snow, a presumed traitor, returns to the Night’s Watch. Bran will begin to test his greensight abilities as he meets the Three-Eyed Raven.

With the introductions out of the way, the “GoT” reveals Oberyn Martell, the Red Viper, also known as the Prince of Dorne, located in the southern part of Westeros, and a member of House Martell. The Red Viper makes his way to King’s Landing at the behest of his older brother, Doran Martell. Doran sends Oberyn in his place to serve on the small council. House Martell wants to avenge the death of Elia Martell, who was murdered by Ser Gregor Clegane, also known as The Mountain.”

Based on the trailer and previous spoilers, "The Purple Wedding" will take place, which means the death of Joffrey, and with Tyrion accused of committing the deed. Cersei stacks the trial in her favor and Tyrion is looking at certain death prior to the intervention of the Red Viper.

Oberyn wants to know who murdered his sister, and Tyrion tells him the truth. The Red Viper serves as Tyrion’s champion, as part of the trial by combat, and he faces off with the Mountain. What happens next determines the fate of Tyrion as well as the whole Lannister family, a major change in fortune from the end of the third season and "The Red Wedding," which saw the deaths of Robb Stark, Catelyn Stark and most of Robb’s army.

The "Game of Thrones" Season Four premiere will air on Apr. 6. The "GoT" trailer can be viewed below.
