The Gathering of the Juggalos is that special time of year when hundreds of Insane Clown Posse fans descend upon Cave-In-Rock, Ill., for a five-day festival. And even though the event doesn't start until Thursday, several people have been arrested already.

See, the Gathering of the Juggalos attracts a lot of people, and that traffic tends to clog up the local roads in rural Illinois. According to the Hardin County Sheriff's office, the Insane Clown Posse fans have been backing up traffic since early Wednesday morning. The Village Voice has photos of the traffic jam.

"They started jamming traffic up a little after 6 this morning," Hardin County Sheriff Joyce Cullison told the Village Voice.

Because of the backup in traffic, the Illinois State Police, who are providing additional security at the event, began patrolling the area and writing up tickets. The police also ended up making quite a few arrests on Wednesday afternoon, even though the festival has yet to begin.

"We've had 10 or 15 in four or five hours," Cullison said.

Reportedly, six of the arrests were drug-related. "Not a large amount either," as Cullison described the quantities.

While the rest of the arrests were related to suspended licenses or a lack of insurance, one festival-goer was arrested for unpaid child support.

While most of those arrested were released on bond, the apparent deadbeat dad "might be extradited," according to Cullison. "It's been a long day. Imagine what tomorrow's going to be when it opens."

Luckily for everyone, though, the Illinois State Police haven't found any illegal weapons among the Juggalos. "Yet," Cullison says.

The Gathering of the Juggalos 2012 officially starts on Thursday, featuring the Insane Clown Posse, Fear Factory, the Village People and more.
