A gay porn actor was sentenced Tuesday to almost six years in prison for extorting a telecommunications tycoon out of thousands in cash after he threatened to expose his hiring of male escorts. Teofil Brank, who performed under the name Jarec Wentworth, was convicted in July of extorting MagicJack VocalTex Chairman Donald Burns after Burns paid Brank for sex on multiple occasions in 2013 and 2014, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Brank, who also extorted an Audi sports car out of Burns, will have to repay the chairman of the Internet phone service company the $500,000 he took from him. Burns, who paid Brank up to $2,000 for sex, also had the porn star organize sexual liaisons for him with other male porn actors and escorts.

Brank threatened to would post photos and details of Burns’ life on his Twitter page. About two weeks after Brank made his initial extortion call in February, a sting operation was set up by the FBI.

“I’m just going to bite hard,” Brank said in a text message to the man, according to the LA Times. “I want a new car, motorcycle and both hands full of cash.”

Burns’ attorneys originally tried to keep his identity a secret in court, arguing his rights would be violated as a victim. But a judge ordered the disclosure of Burns’ name, which was reported by the Smoking Gun in April. After Brank’s indictment, various gay porn actors came out in support of him on Twitter, according to Heavy.com.

Burns made a fortune in 1997 when he sold his telecommunications company for $250 million. He then helped found MagicJack about 10 years ago. A gay pornography blog also alleged that Burns had set up sexual liaisons with various porn actors, according to Heavy.com.
