With General Motors (GM) showing off the first teasers of the GMC Hummer EV electric pickup truck during the Super Bowl, details about the truck, including its appearance, are sparse. But there are bits of information that GM was quick to boast about, giving some insight into what can be expected with the electric pickup truck. Here’s everything we know about the new GMC Hummer EV so far.

GM has been quick to give an official release date of the Hummer EV, saying that it will officially debut on May 20. This will be the first production electric truck from GM sold under the GMC brand.

The details on the Hummer EV are scarce as well, with GM only saying that the truck will have 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 pounds-per-feet of torque. It is expected to hit zero to 60 mph in three seconds, but the all-important driving range of the truck is yet to be known.

GM has been remise in giving any price point on the truck as well as announcing when reservations for the Hummer EV will begin. It is thought that that vehicle will have a price point between $70,000 to $100,000, according to news reports.

GM has slatted delivery of the Hummer EV for Fall 2021, with production occurring at its Detroit-Hamtramck plant in Michigan.
