George Clooney is wasting no time starting his life with new his fiancée Amal Alamuddin. According to a report from Radar Online, the 53-year-old “Gravity” star and longtime bachelor is not only planning to wed the 36-year-old British lawyer in the coming months, but wants to be a father too.

“[George and Amal] definitely want kids ASAP,” an “insider” told the gossip site Wednesday, calling Alamuddin’s aging father the main motivation. “Her father is getting older and he really wants to see her kids [before he dies]. Out of all his kids, he’s especially proud of Amal. It would mean the world to him to see her become a mom.”

While babies may be on the couple's mind, their impending nuptials come first. “This wedding is to take place in September,” revealed a source. While locations ranging from the London to Clooney’s villa on Italy’s Lake Como have been tossed around, insiders claim the wedding locale will remain a secret until “the last minute.”

“It will be private,” said an insider. “Neither George nor Amal want the wedding to be a public affair, and her family really doesn’t either.”

Clooney reportedly purposed to Alamuddin after several months of dating at his home in Los Angeles on April 22. According to reports, the actor popped the question “down on bended knee” and presented an emerald-cut, 7-plus carat, diamond engagement ring.

While the couple has yet to publicly speak out about their union, family and friends have declared their approval. “You can say I’m extremely happy,” his mother, Nina Clooney, 74, told the UK’s Daily Mail last month. Clooney’s father, Nick Clooney, 80, shared a similar sentiment with Radar Online. “We are thrilled for them,” he said.

On Sunday, Matt Damon, one of Clooney’s longtime, A-list pals and “The Monuments Men“ co-star, chimed in. “I’m just thrilled that he met Amal and that they’re as happy as they are. He deserves it,” Damon told Closer Weekly, adding that he was unsure if his friend wanted to have children. “You gotta ask him that one. I don’t know,” Damon said.
