“Jane the Virgin” star Gina Rodriguez’s relationship with her boyfriend, Joe LoCicero, seems to be going strong since he even paid her a surprise visit while she was at work.

According to Just Jared, Rodriguez was greeted by her boyfriend while she was filming in Los Angeles on Feb. 19. They were spotted holding hands and walking around. The couple looked very casual in relaxed shirts and sweat pants.

The two started their romance in late 2016. Prior to dating LoCicero, Rodriguez was rumored to be dating actor Ben Schwartz in early 2016, and before that, Henry Esteve of “Revenge.”

They first met when he guest starred as a stripper named Don Quixote in the “Jane the Virgin” episode, “Chapter Thirty-Nine.” but sparks only flew during their second meeting. Rodriguez told Bust magazine that she spotted LoCicero at a boxing gym several months after his guest appearance.

“The second time I saw him, I didn’t recognize who he was. He came in through the door and I was like, ‘Good God!’ and I fell into his eyeballs. On the fourth day that we saw each other at the gym, he asked me out, and I have been dating him ever since. Now I know what it means to date your best friend,” she said.

The two get along so well that there’s hardly any room for resentment or jealousy to creep in. Even when Rodriguez posted a “prom pic” on Instagram featuring Brad Pitt, LoCicero did not get upset.

“When I was talking to my boyfriend about it, he was like, ‘It’s like you met the male Beyoncé.’ I was like, ‘Thank you.’ That’s why I love my boyfriend. He’s so awesome. He’s so incredible,” Rodriguez told Entertainment Tonight.

Rodriguez saw Pitt when they appeared on “The Late Show.” She even recalled that she almost did not make it to the show because her hand got stuck in a car window, and she was really “freaking out.”

Thankfully, she arrived on time. Despite the stress she felt, everything became better when she saw “The Legends of the Fall” actor. “It shocked me and I was tearing [up] a little bit. I was like, ‘Oh no, this is going to be terrible,’” she recalled. “Then they were like, ‘Brad Pitt’s here.’ I was like, ‘We're good. We’re good!’”
