General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) will recall 413,418 Chevrolet Cruze sedans manufacturered and sold in the U.S. over the last two years, to alter the engine shield under the vehicles, the No.1 U.S. automaker said Friday.

Cruzes that were found to be affected were made in the company's Lordstown, Ohio, plant. In addition, the automaker is recalling about 61,299 cars sold in Canada and 701 exported to Israel, according to Reuters. There have been no known crashes, fatalities or injuries that were linked to the recalls.

GM shares slipped 1 cent to $20.63 in early afternoon trading.
