The Golden State Warriors unveiled their new jerseys on Monday, which look different from any other team’s apparel in the NBA.

Adidas created the first every short-sleeve NBA jersey, which the club will wear during games. The Warriors will debut their new look on Feb. 22 against the San Antonio Spurs, and are scheduled to wear them in at least two other contests.

“Players on every court like to have a unique sense of style,” said Lawrence Norman, Adidas vice president of global basketball. “We were excited to work side-by-side for the last 18 months with the Warriors, one of the NBA’s youngest and most exciting teams, to develop this unique uniform system that helps maintain peak player performance while ensuring comfort, fit and style.”

All of the current NBA jerseys are sleeveless, but Adidas has created a new type of uniform. The jerseys not only look different, but they are supposed to be even more comfortable that the regular team apparel.

The uniform is 26 percent lighter than what the Warriors are currently wearing. The jersey has a 360-degree stretch fabric that is designed to allow for a free range of motion for the arms and shoulders.

Golden State’s players have been practicing in the uniforms to get accustomed to the new feel, and have given good reviews on the new style.

“When Adidas began working with us to develop the short sleeve jersey, I couldn’t wait to wear it in a game,” said forward Harrison Barnes. “I love the fit and style the sleeves give me on the court.”
