Shaquille O’Neal, one of the greatest and most colorful basketball players in history, has announced his retirement after a stellar 19-year career in the NBA.
Shaq played for several teams during his career, but is probably best remembered for his stay with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he feuded with fellow superstar Kobe Bryant, but also won three championships.
He won a fourth title with the Miami Heat.
The Big Aristotle finishes with 28,596 career points (fifth best all-time) and is a guaranteed first-ballot Hall of Famer.
