Google Glass To Carry Oakley, Ray Ban Label [VIDEO]

Google Glass may finally become a bit cooler - Google has signed a deal with Italian eyewear maker “Luxottica” to create new prescription models of the Glass hardware. The new models will be sold as Ray Ban and Oakley designs, which means some of the technology’s awkward styling will be altered.

Luxottica is the world’s leading eyewear manufacturer, according to Euromonitor International. The company also controls chain stores like Sunglass Hut and LensCrafters, which should help Google with distribution.

One of the largest barriers between Google’s wearable tech and the mass market has been its polarizing, standout style -- coupled with the device’s exclusivity and high cost, users have often been dubbed “Glassholes.”
