The HTC 10 that was unleashed at the start of this year has received rave reviews from the critics and audience for its stellar design, topnotch specifications and features. The Taiwanese company is rumored to be building two Nexus 2016 smartphones this year. A recently leaked render of HTC Nexus 2016 smartphone shows resemblance to the HTC 10 handset.

Previous rumors have revealed that the upcoming Google Nexus 2016 smartphones are codenamed as Sailfish (S1) and Marlin (M1). Recent reports have suggested that the M1 Nexus smartphone will be sporting a design that is similar to the HTC 10.

The authenticity of the leaked render of HTC Nexus 2016 smartphone cannot be confirmed. It seems to be photoshopped render of HTC 10 that has been modified to appear like a Nexus smartphone. According to Mobi Picker, the render manages to reveal that the one of the upcoming HTC Nexus phones will look like a mixed breed of HTC 10 and Huawei Nexus 6P.

Hence, the HTC Nexus 2016 smartphone is now pegged to sport an impeccable build and stellar design. In 2015, Google had released the LG Nexus 5X as an upper midrange smartphone and the Huawei Nexus 6P as a flagship device.

In 2016, the Taiwanese company is speculated to release successors for last year’s Nexus phones. The Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P successors are speculated to arrive with 5-inch and 5.5-inch screens, respectively.

The Marlin M1 smartphone is now speculated as the flagship device. Recent speculations have indicated that it will be coming with Snapdragon 821 chipset and 6 GB of RAM. The rumor mill is yet to reveal concrete information on the specifications of the upcoming Nexus 2016 smartphones.

Rumors have it that Google wants to more people in China to use its services like Google Play. Hence, Google is also speculated to be working with Huawei to release a Nexus device this year. In April, an upgraded version of Nexus 6P sporting Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4 GB of RAM was spotted on a benchmarking site.
