As the Google Nexus 5 (2015) release date nears, the prices of the Motorola-made Nexus 6 smartphone and HTC-built Nexus 9 tablet have been discounted in several markets around the globe. The deal reportedly will run for a month.

The tech website Yibada, citing Telecompaper says, Motorola has cut the price of the Nexus 6 by 100 euros ($110). Buyers in Germany can utilize the promotional code DESUMMERSALE3 to take advantage of the deal through Aug. 31.

Indian online retailer Flipkart is offering a discount of 5,000 rupees ($78) on the Nexus 6. The device with 32 GB internal storage capacity can now be purchased for 29,999 rupees ($466) in India.

The 32 GB Nexus 9 tablet is selling on eBay in the U.S. for $370.95. One seller, Gravity Buys, has received 97.6 percent positive feedback on eBay. The Nexus 6 can be bought on eBay in the U.S. for $460.

As for Nexus 5 (2015) specifications, GizmoChina says the device will come with a 5.2-inch P-OLED display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixel HD resolution. The smartphone will reportedly be powered by a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 processor and will have 4 GB of RAM.

Its camera will sport a 13 MP sensor with laser autofocus and OIS support. A dual-tone LED flash is said to be included. The front-facing camera for selfies has a 4 MP sensor, iris detection capability and an RGB-IR sensor.

The device will reportedly have an aluminum frame, beveled corners and matte-effect laden plastic rear shell. Other key Nexus 5 (2015) configurations include a 3,180 mAh nonremovable battery and Android M OS. Google has not confirmed the Nexus 5 (2015) specifications.
