Gotham
Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) will be reconnecting with his estranged Uncle Frank (James Remar) in "Gotham" Season 3. Fox

“The Walking Dead” star Benedict Samuel was previously revealed to join the cast of “Gotham” Season 3 as The Mad Hatter, also known as Jervis Tetch. This time, Fox has cast Mexican actress Naian Gonzales Norvind to play his character's younger sister Alice Tetch.

Just like Jervis, Alice will make her debut in the third episode of the next season, according to Variety. She was born with an incredible ability that she cannot control. While her brother considers her ability a gift, Alice thinks it’s a curse. For most of their lives, the siblings have played cat and mouse, with Alice hiding from Jervis in hopes of keeping her powers safe from the rest of the world.

As for Jervis, he has the ability to manipulate people’s minds. He was described by Entertainment Weekly as “a talented hypnotist teetering on the edge of madness.”

Because of his unwavering desire to find Alice, “it is anyone’s guess just how far down the rabbit hole he’s willing to go in order to find her.”

It would be interesting to see how Jervis and Alice’s storylines will coincide with the other characters. Whatever the case, Cory Michael Smith, who plays Edward Nygma for the show, said that his character will finally go “full-on Riddler” next season.

Now that Nygma is out of Arkham, he has a chance at a fresh start. Smith told Comic Book Resources that he has become "aware of what his skill set is," so he will slowly embrace the persona of the Riddler.

“He actually has the ability to make friends and kind of run the show a little bit. And also, he's aware of what his skill set is. Once he starts putting this together, and deciding ‘this is my identity,’ then he can eventually don the title of the Riddler. He doesn't know that the question mark is his emblem yet, but he's already used it,” said Smith.

“Gotham” will return on Monday, Sept. 19, at 8 p.m. on Fox.
