With so many villains terrorizing Gotham City at the moment, it seems like there’s no room for Two-Face, the alter-ego of District Attorney Harvey Dent.

Nicholas D’Agosto, the actor who portrays the character on the show, told Mic that he hopes “Gotham” would bring back the character soon. He knows he’ll return somewhere down the line, but maybe not yet in Seasons 3 or 4.

“The thing is, ‘Gotham’ has so many established stars on it already, it frankly doesn't need Harvey Dent right now,” he explained. “They hired me to do a season for them, and there is only so much real estate in the show. It was one of those things where we all kind of saw what was going on and we decided to push pause on this while the show sort of grows.”

However, one thing’s for certain. D’Agosto said that Harvey Dent/Two-Face will return in a big way once the show finally finds use for him. “I think it serves Harvey Dent to become Two-Face as old as Bruce can get,” he said. “I think there was kind of a realization that it wasn’t the right time for this storyline. My hope is that it will happen — though there is no plan at the moment — I think that the hope is that sometime in next couple of seasons Harvey will start coming back in.”

When the show returns this April, one exciting new villain is going to make his way into the mix. “Game of Thrones” alum Alexander Siddig will be playing Ra’s al Ghul, head of the League of Shadows. The actor told Digital Spy that he wanted to keep fans on their toes with regards to the character, and he wanted them to keep guessing whether Ra’s al Ghul is to be trusted or not.

“I really tried to get him so ambiguous that he’s almost liquid – that was the way I thought about it. You're really not sure if he's good or bad – no-one knows whether he’s a demon or a saint, or a ghost, that's a line from the script,” he said. “I suspect that kind of liquidity can only be fascinating. It certainly fascinates me, and I know I’m going to have fun for as long as I end up playing this character.”

“Gotham” Season 3, episode 15, titled “How the Riddler Got His Name,” will air on April 24.
