It’s all about Maggie! According to reports, “Grey’s Anatomy” will focus its second episode of Season 11 on the show’s newest character, Dr. Margaret Pierce (Kelly McCreary) -- Dr. Yang’s (Sandra Oh) replacement and Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) younger, half-sister. And we’re not surprised -- Maggie's story line is one of the most twisted plots Shonda Rhimes has cooked up over the past few years.

McCreary revealed to E! Online how she felt about getting an episode dedicated to her character so early in her “Grey’s” career. “It was overwhelming and very surprising,” she began. “I felt terrified and also really grateful that they trusted me with the institution of ‘Grey's Anatomy’ for a whole episode. And I was really grateful to have all this new information about my character. Maggie's existence was as much a mystery to me as it was to the fans of ‘Grey's,’ so in creating this character and figuring out who she is and how to play her, it was a huge gift to have 65 pages worth of material telling me exactly who she is. It was great!"

For those who don’t know McCreary’s warped storyline, Maggie (who happens to be adopted) applied for Yang’s position at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital to find out more information about her birth mother, Ellis (Kate Burton). She revealed this information to Dr. Webber (James Pickens Jr.) who pieced together that Maggie was in fact his love child with Meredith’s mother.

Maggie wanted to come forward and share her secret with Meredith but after all their sister-like quarrels in the Season 11 premiere, Maggie opted to stay quiet. And Maggie isn’t the only one holding onto this hush-hush information. During an AA meeting Dr. Webber spilled his guts regarding his discovery (he didn’t tell Maggie that he was her father). However, a co-worker of his just so happened to be standing in the crowd. Webber begged Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) not to share what she learned, which is when she replied that the meetings are anonymous for a reason.

So, what’s next for Maggie on episode 2 of “Grey’s Anatomy”? Well, according to McCreary, despite being surrounded by family, Maggie will feel utterly alone. Although she will explore a teacher/student, mentor/mentee relationship with Jo (Camilla Luddington) in “Puzzle With a Piece Missing” and find some common ground with Bailey (Chandra Wilson), it’s Maggie's loneliness that will be explored in the next episode.
