Shonda Rhimes is back at it again with the plot twists. During episode 11 of “Grey’s Anatomy,” the mastermind behind the hit ABC medical drama gave fans a huge, Season 12 surprise — April (Sarah Drew) is single … and pregnant! Talk about double whammy.

And according to the trailer for next week’s episode, titled “My Next Life,” it doesn’t look like the red headed doc is going to tell the father, Jackson (Jesse Williams), about the baby growing in her belly.

“You have to tell him,” Arizona (Jessica Capshaw), who was there when April revealed her pregnancy test came back positive, says in a clip from episode 12.

But April has no motive to divulge that information — especially after she and Jackson just finalized their divorce. During episode 11, fans watched as Jackson and April put an end to their marriage, which, ironically began to crumble following the death of their son Samuel. But will a new baby help heal their wounds and their relationship? Drew seems to think so.

During an interview with TVLine the actress dished that her jaw-dropped when she learned April was with child.

“[It] made me go, ‘OK, well, there’s some hope [for Jackson and April] now. I see hope in this new life. All is not lost,’” she admitted.

And Drew isn’t the only one remaining hopeful that a certain Grey Sloan couple ends up back together. Justin Chambers’ character, Alex, will revisit the question he asked Jo (Camilla Luddington) in the Season 12 winter finale of “Grey’s Anatomy” when she finds an engagement ring stashed in a drawer.

“You didn’t say yes or no … is this no?” he asks Jo one more time to be his wife.

The episode will also follow Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) as she reunites with a patient named Katie Bryce (Skyler Shaye) who she first met as an intern. Episode 12 will also explore Maggie (Kelly McCreary) and Andrew’s (Giacomo Gianniotti) relationship.

According to the synopsis, the hot, new Grey Sloan couple will reach a bump in their relationship when Andrew finds out Richard (James Pickens, Jr.) is Maggie’s father. (We bet Andrew regrets telling Richard how wild his mystery girl is in the sack now!)

“Grey’s Anatomy” airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
