Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) managed to survive getting attacked in the Season 12 winter premiere of “Grey’s Anatomy” but it looks as though the battered surgeon be will forced to face another suffocating event on Thursday — her smothering friends.

In episode 10 of the hit ABC medical drama, audiences will watch as Mer’s Grey Sloan family tries to help her cope with the traumatic experience through pizza and non-stop chatting. Except there’s one problem … Meredith doesn’t want their help. In fact, she wants to be left alone. In a sneak-peek video for the upcoming installment, the protagonist explains her friend-based conundrum to her therapist (Bill Smitrovich).

“So annoying. [Maggie] (Kelly McCreary) has people over all the time. Like if I’m alone, I’ll explode or something. They won’t go away.”

“Well, tell them to go away,” her therapist responds. But Mer is hesitant considering her buds are “just trying to help.” But like the good doc points out, they’re not being helpful. So, Meredith takes his lead and tells them to get out of her house.

But before Meredith kicks her pals out, a few eye-widening comments were unveiled during the gangs’ pizza night. According to the promo video, Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Penny (Samantha Sloyan) are no longer a couple.

“I don’t want to go home alone. I miss Penny,” Callie says before Alex (Justin Chambers) chimes in that he misses sex.

“Penny and I had the greatest sex,” she adds, explaining that it was “journey-of-discovery grade sex." Between bites of pizza, Alex reveals that he and Jo (Camilla Luddington) used to have sex like that “all the time.”

Used to? Does that mean Jo turned down Alex’s marriage proposal (which was left unanswered in the winter finale)? Fans will find out when “Grey’s Anatomy” airs episode 10 on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
