“Grey’s Anatomy” star Ellen Pompeo "secretly" had a second child with husband Chris Ivery, 46. Sounds like a scene straight out of Shonda Rhimes’ hit drama, right? We all know how Rhimes loves her secrets!

On Thursday, Oct. 2, the couple revealed on social media that they were parents to a second beautiful daughter. “Sienna May Ivery, welcome to the world,” the actress, 44, captioned the adorable photo on Instagram. “We love you more than words can say.”

In the sweet picture, Ivery, 46, holds up his little bundle to give her a kiss on the cheek. And apparently we weren’t the only ones who went weak in the knees after seeing the image. Countless “Grey’s” fans flocked to the photo to send Pompeo and her family warm wishes.

However, prior to sharing the good news with the world, Pompeo made sure to keep Sienna May a secret – thanks to a little help from her Shondaland TV family.

“Sienna was born via surrogate,” Pompeo explained on Twitter, adding how grateful she was to her co-workers for helping her keep the announcement of her daughter under wraps. “I would like to thank my whole @ShondalandTV family for helping us enjoy these first few weeks privately. <3 you”

Pompeo and Ivery, who were married in November 2007, now have two daughters together. Their first child, Stella Luna, was born on Sept. 15, 2009.

"It's a huge lifestyle change, and I take that very seriously," she told Allure magazine in 2008 of motherhood. "[Chris and I] enjoy our life so much. We go to Europe and sleep in. So when I have the baby, I won't feel like we've missed any fun, reckless times together, like staying up all night drinking champagne and having sex until five in the morning and not having to get up until two in the afternoon."
