Gwen Stefani and Miranda Lambert are fighting over Blake Shelton, a new report claimed Wednesday. The fight erupted after Lambert spent some private time with Blake Shelton, the news of which made Stefani furious.

According to an OK! Magazine report cited by Gossip Cop, Stefani and Lambert had a "showdown" after Shelton and his ex-wife had a "warm backstage chat" at last week’s ACM Honors. The report said that the exes were allegedly seen “having a real conversation,” before they “retreated behind closed doors for some privacy.”

A source close to the matter reportedly said that Shelton told Stefani about his meeting with Lambert.

“He thought she’d be happy they’d gotten the chance to call some things water under the bridge,” the source told the magazine. “Instead, though, it sent her into a panic," and an enraged Stefani “promptly sent a text to Miranda telling her to ‘stay away from Blake,'” and “soon there was a flurry of angry messages going back and forth between the two women.”

However, Gossip Cop has debunked the "showdown" story, calling it false.

Last month, rumors surfaced that Lambert was ready for a face-off with Stefani amid the latter's “incessant gushing” over Shelton recently.

“[Lambert] believes she’s been portrayed as the bad guy in her breakup with Blake and feels Gwen’s contributed to that public perception,” another source told InTouch Weekly. “Miranda would welcome a showdown with Gwen, to get everything in the open once and for all.”

Shelton and Lambert ended their marriage last year following which the "Sangria" singer and Stefani started romancing each other.
