Gwen Stefani was just as shocked as the rest of us to hear rumors that she and Blake Shelton had reportedly confirmed their relationship. Ahead of the 2015 Country Music Association Awards, stories began circulating claiming that a rep for the "Sangria" singer confirmed that he and the pop star were a couple. During an recent interview, however, Stefani said those reports were untrue.

According to TMZ, the former No Doubt singer was live on the "Frankie and Geena Morning Show" on San Diego's Channel 93.3 on Tuesday when she was asked about her "new relationship." After joking with the show's host that the question was rather "personal" she denied having ever said she was dating someone. Stefani, 46, revealed that it wasn't until her children came to hear about the rumors that she was even aware they were a thing.

"This is what I'll say about that: I never said nothing about being in a new relationship. I don't know who said that, but somebody did and then my kid came in last night to tell me about it, so that's how crazy my life is. People just can say whatever they want and then they can just believe it," she said.

Reports first surfaced that Stefani and Shelton had made their relationship official on Nov. 4. A rep told the Associated Press the pair "very recently started dating." Sources close to the rumored couple told People magazine Shelton and Stefani had been supporting one another through their recent divorced and were "both incredibly nice people."

Prior to the alleged confirmation the maybe-couple were seen getting cozy at a Halloween party. Photos showed them standing close to one another and seemingly holding hands. They were also seen leaving the party together, causing further speculation.
