Happy 70^th birthday, Bob Dylan! The legendary musician turns 70 years old on May 24, 2011. Dylan, born Robert Allen Zimmerman, has been a major figure in transforming the music scene for decades. Many of his songs, such as Like a Rolling Stone, Blowin' in the Wine, and The Times They are a-Changin became anthems for the U.S. civil rights and anti-war movements. Many of his lyrics are extremely political, social and with many literary influences. In addition to his music, Dylan has also published three books of drawings and paintings. He also has had his work exhibited in major art galleries. He has received a number of Grammy Awards, Golden Globes as well as an Academy Award. It's no surprise that he has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame as well as the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
