Herman Cain was on both sides of the abortion coin on CNN Wednesday night, CBS News reported.

First, he strongly stated that life began at conception and that abortion was always wrong, even in the case of rape and incest, according to CBS.

Later, though, Cain said that his feelings on the matter shouldn't affect other peoples ability to make decisions.

So what I'm saying is it ultimately gets down to a choice that that family or that mother has to make, said Cain, according to CBS. Not me as president, not some politician, not a bureaucrat. It gets down to that family. And whatever they decide, they decide. I shouldn't have to tell them what decision to make for such a sensitive issue.

Last week on Meet the Press, Cain offered no such feeling. According to the Christian Post, he said then that he simply did not agree with abortion under any circumstance.

UPDATE:

Cain has tweeted to his followers that he is 100% pro-life. End of story.
