The House of Representatives on Thursday resumed debate of President Barack Obama's tax-cut bill that he worked out with Republicans earlier this month.

The debate resumed after an hours-long interruption during which time House Democrats tried to win concessions that would allow them to fully register their opposition to the tax cuts for the wealthy included in the bill.
