Kelly Ripa may have a new co-host in Ryan Seacrest, but that doesn’t mean getting tickets to “Live with Kelly and Ryan” has changed. Just like before, tickets to the daytime talk show are free of charge. It just takes a little work to get them.

Your first step is to head over to the “Live with Kelly and Ryan” website and check out the calendar. Here you’ll be able to see if the date you request tickets for is open or sold out. If the date is open, select your day and register for one to four free individual tickets with the 1iota website.

Once you get your ticket, all audience members must check in at the Live Studio at the corner of 67th Street and Columbus Avenue in New York. Your ticket does not guarantee admission into the studio so make sure you arrive early. According to the 1iota site, on the rare occasion the studio is filled and you can’t get in, “VIP tickets for a future date will be offered to any ticket holder turned away.”

Following your admission into the studio, you can expect the live show taping to take 60 minutes while an additional 30 to 60 minutes may be added for the taping of promos and other segments. Since you may be there for more than 90 minutes, it's advised you dress comfortable and warmly as the studio can get cold. “Dress as if you are going to a nice dinner. Solid bright colors are preferred. Avoid t-shirts and hats with large logos,” the site reads.

Even if you don’t get chosen for tickets or want to get into a sold out show, you can still try for standby tickets. People hoping to get standby tickets are encouraged to get to the studio as early as 7 a.m. EDT. Once ticket holders are seated, it’s a first-come, first-serve for the standby line.

Ripa made the announcement of her new co-host in early May, nearly a year after former co-host Michael Strahan left the show. “Ryan is a quintessential broadcaster and at the top of his game,” Ripa said in a statement.

“I am thrilled to start my mornings with him every day, and we are so fortunate at ‘Live’ to have him join the family,” the statement continued. “Ryan is a close friend and his star shines as brightly off camera as it does on. His tremendous success is only matched by his impeccable reputation. Plainly said, everyone loves him, and so will our daily viewers.”

Seacrest, who has co-hosted a few times during the past year, called Ripa “one of the most talented live hosts in broadcast TV.” He added, “I’ve been so fortunate in my career to be a part of some incredible TV programs, and I’m excited to join daytime’s top entertainment talk show, and most important, I couldn’t think of anyone I’d rather share this new chapter with than Kelly Ripa – she’s a dream broadcast partner, and I can’t wait to start.”
